Or maybe mask people want to get back to work

Since masks are so effective, why not open everything back up?

What number of cases/deaths will be okay for us to open back up?

Everyone just keeps yammering on about staying home and wearing masks, yet no one has a plan for actually opening anything back up.

Zero cases? Zero new deaths? When? When is it okay in the minds of you short sighted dumb fricks to get back to normal?

I went to the grocery store a couple days ago and it seemed to be split basically along demographic lines. I saw young, black males wearing almost no masks and pretty much everybody else had a mask on...go figure....

I went to the grocery store next to the hospital this afternoon and maybe 30% were wearing masks. Most of the doctors and nurses in scrubs getting off work were not wearing them

100% of people are wearing a mask where I live due to the dumbass mayor forcing people to wear them. They have people standing outside of every store and gas station not allowing people in unless you have a mask. Since I refuse to wear a mask I have now left, and won't be returning until the mask order is gone.

I have never seen a nurse in scrubs at the store without a mask on for the past two months. You should probably avoid that hospital

Then that nurse is either wearing a mask that serves no purpose or a highly contaminated mask.

Dude, getting back to normal for me is getting on an airplane and traveling. If by getting back to normal you mean sold out concerts, movie theaters, sports arenas, fully seated restaurants, and packed bars/night clubs, that’s just not going to happen for the foreseeable future. But should these businesses get open again (save for concerts)? Yes.

This is a nuanced situation. Dcrews, unlike most of the dumb fricks in this thread, you are better than this. Sorry, but we can’t go back to fully normal yet, but the economy can no longer support this. It’s time for a slow reopening with social distancing in place. If you’re 6 feet away from another couple eating a nice meal, then you should be able to do that in a restaurant and take off your mask once seated. This is complicated. Even Sweden didn’t do everything normally when it came to this.

Right? I mostly stay home, because I don't want to catch it, but sometimes I need groceries. If I was truly scared of a life threatening disease, I'm not going anywhere, regardless of if I'm wearing a mask or not.

In Little Rock Arkansas at a local Kroger a couple weeks ago it was about 80-90% wearing masks. I wasn't, and I got a couple dirty looks but I don't even know where I'd get one and haven't looked in to it.

I'm seeing people driving around alone wearing masks, and people walking down residential streets for what's probably just exercise or getting out of the house wearing them too. I'm not too sure what the point is in all that unless they think they're ugly people and have an excuse to cover themselves or just think they look cool in a mask. It's kind of funny how terrified so many people are over some little flu virus when there's only a few hundred cases in the whole county

More than 10% of the population in general are old or have preexisting conditions. If you don’t see at least 10% wearing masks in a grocery store, it more points out that you live in a community of idiots.

Why would more than 10% of the population wear masks for a virus that kills well under 10 of the highest risk people%?

Sounds like there are a lot of dumb people wearing masks

'm in Georgia and it's less than 50/50 who are wearing masks. Of course I'm not in the idiotville of Atlanta so that helps. I don't wear masks anywhere.

Went to Academy and Kroger in Cartersville yesterday and it was 20% mask at best. Primarily the very old, a few Karens and a few comorbids. Georgia is still the USA and Kemp is leading the way.

No.

If you feel the need to wear a mask, by all means do so. I however have no need to do so.

Depends on where you go. Was at Home Depot and probably 80% or more customers were wearing masks. Went to Tractor Supply in Rosenberg and think I saw 1 customer with a mask and the store was busy.

local grocery almost no masks except the cashiers. Nearby Trader Joe's 90% masks. WalMart 50% masks. Coach O and other customers at local convenience store, 1% masks.

I've never had one on yet

BTW, Scott, LA at I-10 today looked wide arse open everything at the exit. Traffic thick and heavy

Get over it; I did not wear a mask until May 4th, when I was forced to when I went to the doctor. Yes, we will all have to wear masks on May 11 in Kentucky. This makes no sense, as it's like wearing a condom after the girl you banged got preggo.
