I think more people would have worn masks if they were available.

Percent wearing masks 90%
Percent wearing mask properly 30%
Percent handling mask properly 3%
Percent sanitizing mask properly 0.35%

The masks are a germ spreading hazard as used in the real world.

I have no idea what Grocery store you're going to, but it sure isn't the same one as me.

Georgia is the same way. Relic of the Klan days. Supposedly it was suspended by Kemp when his stay at home order was issued.

I have not worn and will not wear a mask. A mask is design to protect people from you, not the other way around.

I wear my n95s when I go to the store as there are a shitload of old people where I live and I’m more worried about potentially spreading than catching it. They’re also way more likely to help than some of the shite I’ve seen out there.

I put my masks from the covid persons of interest I work with in a paper bag for each day. If that patient gets ruled out I keep the mask and use it when I go out. I have almost two dozen now and wish I could sell them as “gently used” because I know some people would probably buy them

I haven’t worn a mask. Went to grocery store and restaurant Saturday. Us “no mask” people have work to do on weekdays, unlike the scared mask people who probably work for the govt or take a welfare check

Or maybe mask people want to get back to work and don’t want a major outbreak again that idiots who think they’re a bunch of bad asses may cause?

This is idiocy. No, it’s like a test comes back positive that she has HIV, you dodged it the dozen or so times you rawdogged it, and then continue to frick her with a condom. I would have used herpes but that’s skin to skin. The others can be cured in this day and age.

from my observations, women are far more likely to wear masks then men

Men are naturally more risk taking than women, so that’s not all that surprising.

I would be surprised if even 10% of the people I have seen at the grocery store here are even pretending to wear a mask.

OP must live in bitch city

More than 10% of the population in general are old or have preexisting conditions. If you don’t see at least 10% wearing masks in a grocery store, it more points out that you live in a community of idiots.

I love these mask threads because to me they are the final definitive proof that there are quite a few posters on the OT whose posts don't have to be taken seriously.

It could be because they are always trolling, or because they react totally out of bluster and emotionalism without even trying to consider the rationale behind what they are saying.

Of course, that has always been pretty evident, but the mask threads pretty much nail it down beyond any doubt.

I don’t even understand why the over whelming attitude on here is to act like a renegade towards masks. It’s like everyone is trying to out douche each other with this mask thing and think they are hot shite for not wearing them.

Can someone point me to why this is such a big deal?

If this was something deadly I’d wear a mask. It’s no worse than a cold for most people. Look at the “survivor’s” stories.

I’m not concerned with this killing me at all. I am concerned with this killing my mother who has major preexisting lung conditions. Everything I do, I do with the thought of keeping people like her safe, not people like me.

It does however indicate you are not a morbidly obese person or a person that nature has decided was not fit for living.

It’s not about you, you prick. It’s about your elderly mother or grandmother. If I was just selfish, then yeah, I wouldn’t wear masks at the supermarket and actually hope to get it just to get it over with. I’m way more likely to die in a car accident this year than from coronavirus, but the same isn’t true for my mom.
