scared is the working verb. This has been the plan and there are many people that are scared. Hard to over come that now. Those who do not scare are not a problem.

Same. The only place requiring it I know of is Costco. I like Costco, but I can get that stuff elsewhere without the feel good faux safety precautions.

But it pisses some people off if you don't comply. Karen has taken over.

Have not worn and will not wear a mask for two reasons.

First, as many have stated, it's extremely uncomfortable and I cannot breathe in one. In fact, I feel a bit claustrophobic the few times I've worn one. I never wore a Halloween mask for the same reason.

Second, the mask is design to protect everyone else from you, not the other way around. I haven't had any symptoms and haven't knowingly been exposed to the virus, so I won't wear one.

I've been wearing a mask when indoors around the public because I'm at higher risk and I'm around my elderly mother a lot. Yesterday I went to the post office, a Dollar General and a grocery store in Ascension parish. All three places had a decent amount of customers and at all three places I was the only one besides the clerks wearing a mask.

Are you going to be removing the mask to drink? Or drinking through the mask or what?

Bars and restaurants requiring a mask would be peak stupidity.

I think when you’re getting to your table or to the bar or going to the bathroom it makes sense to wear the mask, but once you have sat down and are six feet apart from another person I think you should be able to take it off.

“Draconian” was probably too strong of an adjective

Im not saying it’ll make sense, but it will happen. And you’ll put on your mask like you’re told.

What good is a bar if you have to wear a mask and can’t drink?

I'm not sure about others but the Bone and Joint Clinic requires you to wear a mask before entering their building. I had both a Physical Therapy and Doctor's appointment last Friday and was given a mask to wear during both.

What I don't get is all the angst toward people who choose to wear masks. If you choose not to wear one, what is it to you if someone else does? I don't wear a mask (unless required) and don't think anything about it when I see someone who does? It just seems like the "I refuse to wear a mask" contingent gets worked up about the issue than those who do.

For the record. I have nothing against someone choosing to wear a mask. I might chuckle to myself at their inability to properly wear it...but they also have the ability to laugh at me for not wearing one. America.

If I was running around Rouses yelling at people who were wearing a mask improperly and telling them "WHY ARE YOU A GOVERNMENT SHEEP!!!" I could see this comparison.

Otherwise, I'll just quietly go about my business shopping and not coughing on others.

I really haven't seen any angst towards someone who chooses to wear a mask. Only to those who chose to wear one and demand you wear one too.

I personally have zero issue with people wearing masks. If I were at risk, I'd be rocking one as well. With a big ole script A on it.

there have been multiple posts calling anyone wearing a mask a "pussy" or "bootlicker" or whatever

the vast majority of "Karens" are just bitching online, just like these posters

they are all the same to me

I have not worn a mask, and I do not plan to voluntarily wear a mask.

I will have one with me, though, in case there’s a place I want to go that requires me to wear one. While I don’t think masks are necessary, I also won’t be protesting or boycotting places that require masks.

I know a lot of people, mostly in TX/LA/NJ, and I still do not know a single person that has died from coronavirus or even tested positive for the coronavirus.
