All domestic auto manufacturers unveiled details on their new HD pickup trucks this week

I sometimes wonder what other countries think of these big American rigs.

For those of you that are pickup truck owners, this has been a pretty big week. The details around every new HD tpickup truck on the market has been unveiled in one week. There are bigger and more expensive products for plant operators to own than ever before.

One of them tows 35,000 lbs.....which is only good enough for 4th best in this class. The one with the lowest output diesel engine delivers well over 900 lb ft of torque through a 10 speed transmission. 3 of them offer all new gasoline V8 engines.






2020 Ram Heavy Duty - offers an all new Cummins diesel engine with a best in class 1,000 lb ft of torque and a 35,100 lb tow rating along with the largest touch screen in its class and an optional split rear tail gate.




2020 Chevrolet Silverado HD - offers a new 10 speed Allison transmission, a class-exclusive bed-step, an all new direct-injected gasoline V8 engine (with an optional Duramax turbo diesel), an integrated engine block heater, optional engine-driven PTO, and a best in class tow rating of 35,500 lbs - which is just ridiculous.






2020 Ford Super Duty - can tow a whopping 35,000 lbs, offers an all new 7.3L gasoline V8 engine, a new 10 speed automatic transmission, an updated front end, fuel-saving auto stop/start, and a corrosion-resistant all aluminum body and an optional Pro-Trailer backup assist feature.




2020 GMC Sierra HD - offers an all new 401 horsepower gasoline V8 engine, a 35,500 lb tow rating, a segment-first integrated trailer rear view camera, and their new Multi-Pro tailgate.





No word on the clever financing options that will be made available to actually sell these $75,000 pickup trucks.
