Gah, what a pussy. Whenever I get caught being a dumbass I never backdown and log off. I'll double and triple down on my stupid out of stubborness until people start to believe me. Normally I'll hurl insults and try to catch the other poster with a ridiculous grammar mistake to take the heat off of me. It's the long game. You just have to be the last man standing.

I'm gonna have to take that back. I think that swat guy should tryout for the Olympics. I watched a chick from West Virginia win a gold medal for shooting her BB gun 10 meters a couple of days ago.

I saw some of that...but I'm on the East Coast so I saw it before you due to viewer-optimizing.

Those slopes shooting BB pistols were pretty fair shots too. You never even see them pump them up.

That's because they aren't pumps. Did you even read article 127-45 in section 487 of the Olympics rule book? What a dumbass.

are you aware there are flight crews that haven't started clocks for the day?

Yes, we are...except that the "clock" can start the night before. I was on a flight that was cancelled due to pilots clock.....plane had minor mechanical issue. By the time it was fixed, the crews clock expired. I was in Kansas. They CANCELLED the flight and flew in another crew to fly us on a later flight

The problem wasn't with the system itself, it was a widespread power outage that brought down their datacenters

Uninterruptible power for a data center is not rocket science. Someone dropped the ball big time on this.

It was bound to happen to Delta eventually. I'm sure they'll revamp the IT department now.

can't they go back to using a table matrix or something?

Okay this flight goes to ATL, this one to MSY, this one to DFW.

I'm a little lost as there is no back-up. So if terrorists wanted to shut down US travel they just have to hack the computers?

So they had no back-up generator? No APS power supply? Just odd.

Definitely odd. That's a basic requirement of any datacenter.
