It’s only 110. She will get a little jolt and the breaker will trip.

I learned a similar lesson at 4 (that lesson being "tweezers don't go in the little hole things in the wall"). Quick, intense pain is a very powerful teacher.

Sounds good, Alexa, but I’d rather my 10 year old not do that

In high school science class we used to have these lab stations that had desk for two people on each side. Each one had a plug in on each side. One day I dared this kid to stick a paperclip into it.. Other people started egging him on and I whispered to him something like "just shut them up and stick it in. They don't work so don't worry about it".. This dumbass believed me, stuck it in, it sparked and for a few seconds it was like he couldn't move to pull it out.

This story reminds me of that and I remember how funny that was. Dude didn't talk to me for weeks.

I did the exact same thing at the same age. It didn’t shock me but almost caught my moms kitchen on fire.

It would shock and immediately trip the breaker.

I used to trip the breakers in class at school with a paperclip after seeing Elaine do it on a Seinfeld episode.
It is like the quickest shock. Not nearly as bad as the shocks I get all the time with my preference of working on live electronics.
