There's nothing at all about this scenario that would lead me to conclude this lady was a good parent. Maybe she should have been leaning out the door hollering hey Lemongelo, quit being stupid and get on the ground like the officer said.

Didn't see that.

Also, I'll never understand why people cry like that - they go into hysterics. How about being useful and going to help your dumbass boyfriend by stopping the bleeding

Nope, looks like he had the gun in his hand the entire time.

If I pull a gun on a cop, whether that be flashing it or pointing at him, I FULLY expect to be shot and most likely killed. Dumb motherfricker could have just stayed calm and he'd still be with us today. frick him

You're correct. But it looks like he's so drunk that he has absolutely no idea what's going on. I'm not sure staying calm was an option for him. He thought the cop was just some guy trying to fight him at his house.

That was tough. Guy was so hammered he may have even forgotten it was a cop "trying to fight me baby". But that does not matter because he pulled a gun and was given time to drop it. Cop at no fault.

Yeah, dude could have been blackout drunk and didn't know what he was doing. Just a shitty situation.

All of you saying Tignor was too drunk to know it was a cop must have missed all the times the cop saying, "You're under arrest."

Shitfaced or not, he still heard those words. Should have clued him in on what was happening.

In a perfect situation the cop should have tasered him immediately after he go out of the car and was not compliant. Maybe he didn't have his taser on him. I don't blame him for shooting him after he brandished the gun though.

Is rain an ideal scenario to deploy a taser?

Good shooting and good riddance.

ETA: I do feel for the family, but the guy got what was coming.

Plus, this cop was firing a semi-auto pistol. It was probably a 9mm or .40 cal. And if I had to guess he was probably firing a standard FMJ round

you really think cops carry fmj rounds in their service pistols?
