Happened sat night around 8.

quote:

The crash involved four vehicles driven by Eduardo Ramos Jr., 22, of Barksdale Air Force Base, Shane Williams, 49, of Nett Lake, MN, Esther Smith, 59, of St Landry and Cody Stanley, 19, of Cheneyville.

Ramos was heading south on I-49 when he lost control and collided with the overpass bridge rail over LA Highway 181. This caused his vehicle to become disabled. Then, Smith stopped her vehicle in the roadway to help out. This resulted in Williams colliding with both Ramos and Smith’s vehicles.

Ramos then exited his vehicle and either jumped or fell from the overpass onto 181, around 25 feet below. Immediately after, Ramos was hit by Stanley as he was driving on 181.

Ramos is suspected of being impaired. He was pronounced dead at the scene. It is unknown if he died from the fall or after being struck by Stanley’s vehicle.

Sounds like the woman made a small accident much worse. She probably stopped in the travel lane.

This is not helping. This is making the entire situation much worse than it needed to be.

Parking your car on the Interstate....Wow. At night no less. Probably didn’t even have her flashers on.
