Normandy is a big place. This isn't in the exact spots of the DDay invasion. This is Etretat, which is to the north. And you can see the white cliffs of Etretat at :23 - :28.

The later portion of the video has the lighthouse at Le Treport.

Both of the towns are Northeastern Normandy, North and East of the Operation Overlord landings (which were in North Central and Northwestern Normandy, St. Lo, Caen, etc.)

Dieppe which is almost exactly halfway between Etretat and Le Treport and was the site of the ill-fated Operation Jubilee in August 1942.

Men in the USA wore hats until the early 1960s. JFK didn’t like hats and that was that as they say.

There had to be a lot of sweating at the beach back then. I guess the upside was very few sunburns despite the lack of suntan lotion.
