Possibly filmed by renowned French filmmaker Georges Melies, this is enhanced footage taken from the beaches of Normandy, France some 122 years ago. A sobering thought: many of the young boys seen in this footage would die in the trenches of World War I less than 20 years later.

The fact that those beaches became a horrendous battlefield is a reminder of how badly humans suck

I love how we just throw around AI as a descriptor for things and pretend it really exists.

They could have enhanced it alot more but they had to keep the old timey feel for some reason. Some of it seems fricky too.

Seriously cool. I’m going to get one of those flat top straw hats to rock at the beach this year.

It really is weird to think that people just decided you had to be fully clothed even to go swimming. The sand in those dresses had to be a pain in the arse

It was the Victorian Era. It was considered improper for women to show too much skin - even at the beach.

Some of those in the video would be destroyed within 15 years on the Western Front.
