Today, we speak of the founder and former CEO of the AI programming company Builder.ai—Sachin Dev Duggal.
He not only created a fake AI company that was 'all humans, no intelligence.'
He managed to secure hundreds of millions in funding from giants like SoftBank and Microsoft, with a valuation reaching $1.5 billion.
Moreover, he dared to falsely report 300% revenue to investors.
Yes, the company's backend does not have AI; it is just a group of Indian developers pretending to write code as AI.
More explosively, this scam persisted for eight years.

As long as the produckt was good, why should the rest matter? I, personally, for one, would rather my code be written by hard workinf hands, and not some ai that cant truly think for itself, much less have the love and passion for doing what it does best.

The Indian call center scams are getting more elaborate

Limits the ability to scale, which is probably the majority of the value

I was wondering all my search results included "bobs"

That is the funniest, most on brand thing I've read this week.

India teams are typically horrible to work with

Damn. Even robots who need no living wage are more expensive than outsourced labor.

The quality of writing in this comment is the equivalent of hiring indians to write your code. In fact, I think the writing of this comment was possibly outsourced to indians.

I don't know what your definition of "great" is but it is not mine. In my experience, they typically do a shite job of developing, miss a lot of bugs, and the result is painful. I will take 1 good American developer over a whole team of Indian developers any day of the week. The only reason that they are ever hired is due to perceived cost savings.

And you don't mind being talked over or listening to a circular 5 minute speech that could have taken 30 seconds...

I've noticed that Indians will usually hire more Indians
