I don’t disagree with you, 100 people is just a shite ton of people. A true life or death situation, it just seems like the gorilla couldn’t kill them all before its body would shut down, but who knows

See - this is where AI isn't creative enough. 30-40 guys as the first wave, focus on suffocation and wearing the Gorilla down in the first 3 min. Really, you're throwing as many guys at the thing and trying to weight him down, maybe it takes more.
Here's where it gets bad 2 Guys have to be sacrificed - if there aren't any weapons on the ground..... doesn't mean there aren't some weapons. I'm thinking you need a broken femur or two or three.
Second wave of 30-40 and find enough space to get a weapon made of bone and just stab away. You just need a couple of good hits in a soft area. Take an eye out. Or both. Stab a foot so he loses mobility.

Yup! Do you want to be one of the 99 guys gathered in a bunch to distract him or do you want to be the guy that sneaks up behind him and kicks him in the nuts to get his attention so the other 99 can charge in mass?
