Most Tacomas are actually made in Mexico. But there is a giant Toyota truck plant in San Antonio where they make all Tundras and some Tacomas. So check that door jam sticker before you buy.

If you are on the gulf coast, you may also want to check out the new Nissan Frontier. It's coming out this summer, looks incredible, and is made in Mississippi.

Gotta check the VIN#, salesman knows I'm not interested in an imported Tacoma. I know the 2022's will all be made there, but the 21's are still on the lot from SA.

Nice!

Is the 2022 Tacoma being redesigned?

Currently driving an 06 Frontier. I've been tempted by the new look of the '22.

I am definitely interested in a mid sized truck as a 3rd vehicle. Unfortunately these new Nissans likely won't be on sale for a while.

What annoys me is that the base model Tacoma only tows 3500 lbs regardless of engine. I can get a regular cab Sierra for the same price that will tow 7,000 lbs with the base V6. Can go up to nearly 10,000 with the entry level V8.

So hopefully Toyota fixes that with the next redesign. Either get the MPG advantage of a 4 cylinder truck or offer more competitive towing numbers. That's my only beef with it.

Trump would have unleashed Twitter hell on GM and got this decision reversed inside of 6 hours.

Well, maybe it will be a win-win. it'll solve our illegal immigration problem, and the unions will lose more power
