Hope he “slips” in the shower a few times in prison. Physical injury should mirror what he did to that child.

When I was a younger I volunteered for for this small community center in a black community. I had made some poor life decisions that had negatively impacted my life but was able to get my life back on track. I also had no father at home. I could relate to, some degree, with these kids(elementary age). One of the moms told me that they have to be hard on their kids because of the environment they live in. My take away from that conversation was nurturing/loving/encouraging/supportive parenting equates to the child being soft to some folks.
All that to say, I agree with what you’re saying but I don’t know if community leaders can change a mindset that is so ingrained.

Child abuse numbers in the state and each parish almost mirror the demographics. It’s not an issue of race.

The bottom line is, when an OT thread pops up about a horrific crime where the perps are white, they are called out, but not in racial terms.
Same exact crime, but a black perp, the REASON they did it becomes because they were black.
