I think he was trying to say that he wasn’t sure if everyone knew that it wasn’t a true story.

Remember when Afroman punched the fuk out of that dumb hippy bitch interrupting his guitar solo?
Good guy, that Afroman.
Good guy, that Afroman.

Was this guy a musician before the police started harassing him or did he take up rapping in response to all of this?

Clearly, you have never been to East Palmdale.

The song I just quoted is 25 years old, so…

I just looked at as Wikipedia and I do recognize that “ because I got high” song.
But I could not have told you who sung it.

The cops alleged that Afroman’s music and videos endangered the officers, who “suffered humiliation, ridicule, mental distress, embarrassment and loss of reputation”.
Put those cops on a list as too pussified for duty. They’re as fragile as a teenage girl.

I've been watching pretty closely since Steve Lehto covered it on Youtube (my mother was an attorney so I geek out on legal stuff). His coverage, specifically around civil asset forfeiture, is really good and I suppose this ended up in his wheelhouse early on due to the money being confiscated in the illegal raid and mishandled/stolen.
The lawsuit was so obviously frivolous that anyone could see that the cops had no chance. The whole idea that a police officer's privacy was violated on private property (who should not have any expectation of privacy in the course of their duties in the first place) was such a laughable assertion that I'm actually shocked it wasn't tossed out. Another good point he made was that news stations take and run personally-recorded footage all the time of police and other public officials. So long as they follow the rules when it comes to blurring faces and other things (which he also did in his videos), they are allowed to operate in this way and make money. The idea that Afroman could not make money off of his own footage was such a shite position that it stank from beginning to end.
I know their attorney is getting the 3rd degree about how he argued the case, but I thought he did a decent job in court for your run of the mill shakedown attorney. However, if the suit has more holes than the Iranian Navy then there's not much you can do to make it float.

This all started after a confidential informant told the cops he had weed. They literally kicked in his door for the raid. They found nothing and no charges were ever filed.
The most shocking part of this is Afroman having no weed in his house

What about cops cutting off his cameras allegedly? Can they do that?

I’m just grateful that this trial has led me to listen to Colt 45 for the first time in many years. Still classic.

I've never had it happen to me, but I bet the feeling seeing strangers on video rifling through your home has to be absolutely infuriating. Not sure if them being cops would make the feeling worse vs regular robbers.
