“THREAD | I don't know why it's become commonplace for people to replace the word "women" with "females," but in the past several days I've seen a college athletic department and several journalists use the word "females" when they mean "women."
So let's break this down:”
"Female" and "woman" aren't exactly interchangeable. The words mean different things.
"Female" is a more scientific term that refers to a sex of any species, while "woman" is a human-specific word.
Then, there's the grammar.
The word "female" is rarely ever a noun. And using it that way is awkward.
"Look at those females" is an awkward sentence, just as "look at those males" is.
And then, there's the underlying perception of sexism.
So long story short, if y'all are confused as to when to use "female" vs. when to use "women" use "male" or "man" in its place.
Words have power. Words have meaning. Let's use them correctly“

I actually agree. The way most tards use “females” is pretty cringeworthy.

It must be a sad existence to wake up every morning and wonder how you will be offended next.

This nonsense will keep pushing independents right.
Did you even read what was written and think about it?
First, though somewhat pedantic it is about proper word usage not socially or politically motivated usage.
Second, the use of female as an exact synonym is primarily an ill-thought-out attempt to placate the far left and causes the incorrect use of the word female.

She just needs to quit typing and make me a sammich, but, from the looks of her, I doubt my sammich would even make it out of the kitchen.
On second thought, I'd better make sure she never gets near my fridge or pantry.

Not when it turns out to be lucrative. Which it is.
Think of the power implications as well. Major corporation makes statement, blue haired feminazi takes offense and wrangles up her outrage brigade, corporation apologizes and grovels. Suddenly blue haired feminazi, who before people ignored because she's batshit insane, feels empowered.
So from now on she spends her day finding ways to be offended, make people grovel to her, and gets that high of being "powerful."
