Might lose it to the BBC if she lives on Gardere.

Your best bet would be to look around...

Chateaux Dijon Apartments

Whatever you do, please do NOT look anywhere around the Sherwood area/north of I-12. Part of town sucks...

This is going to be your best bet. $825.00/MO for one bedroom. They're in a very safe area, middle of town and are mostly singles, nurses or Indian families.. who mind their own business and all work. Owned by Wampold. Highly recommend as this is going to be your best bet if she's looking to stay in town. Either this, or cheap apartments around LSU that are NOT in Tigerland..

Had many friends that lived in citiplace off of Essen. The problem with that is it’s on Essen. I lived close by for a few years, it’s a very safe area, and the traffic while bad, isn’t something that’s really that much of an issue if you live there. If you can avoid regular rush hour traffic, it’s no worse than anywhere else.

Essen was widened a year or two back. The traffic sucks a lot less than it used to.

I get the feeling this baw is looking for some relatively inexpensive, safe student housing. The Heron starts at $1425/mo

I'll second Chateau Dijon. I lived there 20 years ago and I thought it was pretty good. Just down the street from the BR Country Club and it is in the center of town.

I stayed at Southgate Towers when i was there for about 5 years. Right across from Tigerland next to that McDonalds.

Pretty good spot imo. Plus my rent was roughly $1057 with cable and water included.

Had a corner room, 1/bed - 1/bath. Was quiet most the time minus the drunk tiger land kiddos on Friday night lol

Do not go to Oaks of Kingsbridge. I lived there back in 1997-2004. Place was being infiltrated by drugs and culture. I’m black and I got the frick out of there. Oaks of Kingsbridge is across from Piccadilly on S. Sherwood Forest.

1980’s : great place to rent. Today...not so much.

Ivy Park on Jones Creek was decent but not cheap. Look into it.

We live in an apartment complex on Millerville but I don't recommend commuting to LSU from here. That's a nightmare.

Sherwood isn't bad as long as you're below Goodwood. Going north of that gets sketchier and sketchier. Ideally she should be at least down around Coursey.

The big issue though is travel. 12 is a fricking shitshow going west in the morning and east in the evening, moreso than 10 (south of the split). If feasible she would be far better off in one of the bajillion apartments they've built around Lee/Burbank.
