Yessir! Lived there 5 years ago and it was just fine for a single guy. It's also on the end of Essen that doesn't see as much traffic.

I didn't take the time to read through 4 pages of recommendations, but I imagine most of them were garbage...

100% the way to go is to rent a house in either Southdowns, Garden District, or along Highland. Those houses are awesome, and perfect location. They are a little older, but its safe, close to campus, and you never have to worry about traffic. I did this for 4 years, and I recommend it to everyone. She should definitely find roommates though because it gives her alot more room options for the budget.

Here I am. But yeah, all those people telling you Sherwood is safe are either delusional or haven’t lived in BR for a long time. Stick to the Bluebonnet area.
