Hey! My daughter is looking for apartments in BR and its been a while since I've lived there. Is the Sherwood Forest area safe?
The last apartment she rented was in Gardere area. Probably didnt spell that right. HOWEVER, that place was downright scary.

NO PICS.

Sherwood is relatively safe, but traffic is a huge PITA.

Thanks PiscesT! Where is North Ardenwood? Shes trying to stay around 800 a month rent. lower would be great, but we know the lower you go, the more questionable the location is.

The apartments on Sherwood aren't that great anymore. South of I-12 it's nowhere close to as bad as Gardere but I'd probably look elsewhere.

It's impossible to properly determine the correct location without first seeing pics.

Trying to think of an apartment complex on Sherwood that isn't hood.

Maybe the assisted living at Sherwood Lakes.

North Ardenwood is hood

You aren’t going to get serious answers here

Is she in school?

Either pay for something close to campus that’s safe or commute from DS / Ascension

That’s why I edited, they may not be what I’m thinking of “hood” but I’m sure it won’t be long before they get really bad

I’m not sure if any down Coursey / Millerville are safe or not

Are any apartments safe? I know in Tuscaloosa, I wouldn't feel comfortable in any of them, with only a few possible exceptions
I imagine BR is similar

Tell her to bump the budget to $1,100.

The apartments across the street from Parkview Oaks don't seem too bad. They are gated. It really depends on her budget. I'd much rather live in several in that area than Gardere

BR, as a whole, is less safe than Tuscaloosa. It’s less safe than most anywhere.
