I only chime in when people bitch about what things cost and can bet 100% their budget (if they even keep one) is filled with selfish, greedy possessions they can’t afford anyways.
Also, theirs is a huge disconnect with most Americans when it comes to what the can actually afford vs what they think they can afford. Same can be said with needs vs wants.

I'm worried that you are worried about how I might worry about how others are spending time.

Shouldn't adults be doing something more valuable with their time than wasting it on playing video games???

So every person on Facebook? Glad I never got into it

If on the OT, this board exists as a lens to observe and discuss the world around us. Posting about some idiot driving a vehicle they can't afford, or having a hobby deemed silly is completely acceptable.
If in the real world, I agree.
Yeah, message board people are so normal when they turn off the computer....

Yeah I really hate that people around me take an interest in what's going on around them. Terrible idea.

Adults who make threads about someone worrying about what other people spend time and money on is weird to me.

Yes I am. See the Monthly Disney Thread as exhibit A
Ironic I know

There are multiple angles.
On a specifically personal level, I agree.
However, the societal level matters to many people. There were threads just like this made in 2007 and 2008 when Jersey Tiger, Col Hap, etc. warned about the housing crisis. There is a huge credit bubble currently that will ultimately have drastic/negative effects on the economy. There's nothing wrong with discussing/worrying about the issue on this level.

One of the biggest problems in society today is not being judgmental enough about antisocial trashy behavior which is why that behavior is running rampant.

I e never coveted anyone else’s shite for 10 minutes in my life. But I do see people who are consumed by materialism and make a mental note.

People have the right to do whatever they please, just as I have the right to think it's stupid, trashy, or whatever .

Being judgmental is not the same as worrying. We need to judge people more, maybe there would be less dumb shite. Notice how kids started getting fat when fat shaming stopped...

Worry? No
Wonder how they afford it? Yes
Jealous I’m not an OT baller? Absolutely.

It is more the fact that we have fricked up credit markets so badly when a semi-rational player needs it he is swimming in a cesspool of stupidity borrowing….which actually makes those with any modicum of self control the real idiots.
