LOL good point! What I referenced was probably more about "the one that got away", but you're 100% correct, any thoughts are of that person from the past.

Mine is from high school. I was head over heels over this chick. She had everything.

That's because you remember the good things about her, not think of what it would be like being married to her for 13 years.

It was Halloween and she was a Slutty Nun with DDs. That always gonna pop up from time to time, not gonna lie.

I dreamed that my ex’s husband died. Six months later, poor bastard had a massive heart attack. I also dreamed, when I was in tenth grade, that my uncle died. Very next morning my dad woke me up by telling me he died at work overnight when he drilled into something that had an electrical line inside it. I’m kinda terrified to go to sleep now to be honest.

Nope. I married outside my league.

All my exes are skanks. They probably weren’t before we met though. You’re welcome world.

That’s my situation.

A study found that 35% of people in a relationship dreamt about their current partner or an ex. In contrast, a little over 17% of single people dreamed about former partners.

The fact that they don’t exclude current partners kills the comparison.

Yeah, but it ain't what you're thinking about. It's typically a nightmare. Why do you think they are my ex's? Luckily, it's rare for me.

I do know some married guys who obsess over ex's, former girlfriends, high school girls, whatever. And try to reach out to them on social media. I don't waste my waking hours with that foolishness.

You, baw. It was always you.

I still have your picture hanging in my locker. It has been made love to and desecrated with seed countless times.

Your face has been erased due to the buildup of lusty emissions. But baw, that bod lives on…

Guilty. What's bad is that I talk in my sleep. I got the whole "who is olivia?" question one morning.

some of your exes might have been crazy and you're glad you moved on, but you still remember why you were drawn to them to begin with .....

No, more a reminder not to put it on a pedestal too much or overidealize it.

I used to have dreams about my hs crush, even while married (granted, my marriage was incredibly shitty, and the dreams were infrequent).

Today, I almost never have dreams about my hs crush or my ex wife, and when they do show up, it’s in a completely non-romantic/sexual context.
