I am going to go ahead and say that if you have to get shot, getting shot AT the hospital is likely the way to go.

Mercy itself isn't in a bad area but is near some hell holes and gets a lot of GSW victims. Wouldn't be surprised if this is gangland retaliation.

Betting on retaliation. I was actually in a hospital once when somebody was trying to “finish the job” on somebody.

The GF has spent a lot of time there and says it's a shitty hospital. Both the people who had a chance were taken to other hospitals. Both unfortunately died. 4 dead including the officer. He was 28 and has 3 kids.
Guy was having a conversation with his ex and then just put 6 bullets in her, then went and got a couple more. A cop took one in his pistol that maybe saved his life.
