But immunity needs to end. They are the cause of a lot of this, letting the criminals go.

That would fix a lot. Cutting breaks to criminals should also mean the judge and/or prosecutors "vouch" for them. It should also be easily obtainable public record.

The news said earlier that the deceased is a student, and I assume it was that poor girl. She was unresponsive and looked bad.

soon as you tell me your plan to fix it. Elected officials aren't the answer. Especially in BR (and Louisiana for that matter). So what is your solution?

Who will implement the plan? I can fix it tomorrow, but my plan would never be allowed or implemented.

The only thing I hate going to happen is the usual metro council members will blame this on lack of funding for schools and programs.

Retarded people say retarded stuff. They are dummies that speak their lines when the string is pulled. Nothing more.

To say they want this kind of thing to happen is a bit hyperbolic, but they don’t care if it happens.

They create the environment that allows it to happen, and allows it to keep happening. If their constituents wanted criminals locked up, they would be locked up.

But they don’t.

They are like the “good Muslims” that don’t actually commit terrorism, but secretly either support it or don’t mind it.

There are parents in Lafayette tonight with graduation party decorations, invitations, and senior pics lying around but no graduate anymore. Suddenly, permanently, silently. Life just went from 100 mph to a standstill for those poor parents. Suddenly the stress of planning for that graduation seems like a lifetime ago for them, and so minuscule and meaningless too.

Pray hard for those parents.

It’s ridiculous, two groups get to shooting at each other, and the only ones to lose their life are innocent bystanders.

Has anyone actually said it was a black person shooting?
According to my kids, the perp who was arrested in Watson was a black Live Oak student who had recently been expelled for discharge (or maybe possession) of a firearm on campus.

I shake my head when people talk about too many people being in jail. We don’t put enough people in jail. It’s time for a mass incarceration and throwing away the key El Salvador style.

Exactly. If it were a white suspect, they'd be mentioning it all over the place. That was my point. You missed the sarcasm.

I can confirm that it was a young girl. Very sad.

This makes me so angry. I would go Rambo if it was my daughter.
