Does anyone know of some good ACT prep courses that they would recommend. I have a Junior that will be taking the test soon.

Taking it for the first time at the end of Junior year??

That’s putting it off for too long.

Don't do the prep stuff. Only thing that will help is to keep taking practice and real exams. Go to reddit.com/r/act. Should have a bunch of old tests with solutions to check against. Prep courses are a waste of money.

Don’t know where you are, but Dr. Acosta in Hammond was the GOAT back in the day. He single handily bumped me 5 points between tests with tips and tricks.

Dude knows his way around a standardized test.

UL LAfayette offers one in the evenings that help my son raise his from a 23 to a 27 and my daughter from a 23 to a 29. The good ones work.

They work by giving the kids practice tests to take and strategies for taking the test and improving specific areas. I suspect LSU offers one as well, not sure where the most convenient place for you Junior would be.

Get private tutoring. Do not buy the Kaplan and Princeton prep courses, they are expensive and make you pay out of the arse to cover their overhead. You can save a shite load of $ with a private tutor or buying ACT prep materials
