My dad called them snake doctors. Not sure why.

I also heard snake doctors growing up in SC but there it was usually from people born before 1920: the grandparents of my generation.

West Yellowstone, MT looks like it has a dark thunderhead approaching and you think it's about to cut loose with the rain. Then you find out that cloud is a lot closer than you think, and it's mosquitos. The cold obviously didn't kill 'em.

In Alaska, they are bad too.

I got suck in a YouTube hole last summer of a retired couple driving up to the Dalton Highway in the summer months. It was pretty warm until they got to the North Slope.

In the summer road crews use the extra daylight and warm weather to work on the road and fix sections that were damaged in the winter time. A lady that was directing traffic had a mosquito net around face to protect her from the mosquitoes.

They have been pretty bad, but they don’t really do anything.

Don’t live long either. The crane flies/mosquito hawks.

Mosquito Hawks = Cane Flies = Gallinippers (dad said they used to call them Gallinippers)

Read an article recently out of one of the Texas universities talking about "love-bug" season this summer will be biblical. Can't wait.

But as far as mosquitoes, I’ve been fogging the yard. Not very effective. They are as bad as in the marsh. Glad we don’t have gnats too.

Capt. What type foggier are you using ? What solution are you using ?

The best way to deal with and prepare for mosquitos is to get your Covid 19 vaccination

This is true. Mosquitoes have a harder time getting a meal due to the clotting
