Abandoned dog finds a new home and gets a new job, too

The dog, whose name is Negao, was found roaming around the site in a frightened state by Sabrina Plannerer and her partner when they purchased the grounds to turn it into a Shell gas station in the town of Mogi das Cruzes, Brazil.

‘We adopted him immediately and got him all the care animals need,’ Sabrina told the Dodo. ‘We bought him food, a dog house, and a leash to take him on walk.’

But Sabrina didn’t just give Negao a warm place to stay – she also gave him a purpose. His very own job.

When the work on the site was complete and the garage finally opened, Negao became an official employee of the Shell garage.

He was even given his very own uniformed cap and a workers’ ID tag to wear.
