It's virtually impossible to come in the wrong direction at Costco but Sam's...it's it's a choice.
I did come in from the wrong direction at Costco on a motorcycle once. Half the lanes were empty so I took the advantage. I thought the attendant's head was about to explode.

coscto by me is strict. not only do they not let you enter through the exit but if someone tries to jump lines they will walk over to that vehicle and make them take a lap

It makes me irrationally angry at Sam’s when someone does this. It’s the same thing as th idiots driving the wrong way down the parking lot and being totally oblivious. I seriously do t understand how people make it through life sometimes.

The Costco in BR has a "right lane" for the exit that looks like an entrance at first glance. That definitely got me the first time

How do you jump the line? The two Costcos by us have one way in and then you fan out into the different pump rows from there.
