That shouldn't be celebrated. His family should be reported to DHR. That's borderline abuse by his parents.

I'm with you. No way in 2,340 days this kid was even close to capable of being at school every day. If so, he should be studied in a lab.

I don't even get how this streak makes it past kindergarten through 2nd grade when helicopter parents freak out when their kid has sniffles and kids are little and want to miss school.

A student with perfect attendance was given an award at our school's awards ceremony. Unfortunately, he wasn't there to receive it.

Hell, my mom let me stay home if I just wanted to, but I never abused it. Just once here or there and never to skip an exam. That was high school though. Taught me about being truthful or something in a weird way.

My oldest son had perfect attendance for 13 yrs also. It isn't that hard if you know what to do. They can miss school and have it excused with a doctors note and it is still considered perfect attendance. Shoot, he would miss when we would go on vacation, but I would submit a doctors note. Guess what, he still got perfect attendance every time.
