His first miss should have been the graduation. Screw those turd heads.

That is pretty incredible.
I had a kid at my school who came very close. I think he missed like one day.

There is Cal Ripken, then there is this kid.

So he went to school sick countless times and gave his virus to all his classmates and by way of nature to their siblings/parents at home.
frick that kid. Learn some etiquette.
If someone on my team shows up to the office sick, they know the arse-chewing that is coming.

Now think about this:
That kid probably never missed a day of school for at least 2,300 days. Still not as long as the Cal Ripken Jr. consecutive game streak.

At my niece's graduation last year, her class had a guy who had perfect attendance K-12. They pulled his diploma out and had planned to make a special announcement at the end.
Principal forgot. Ceremony was ended without him going across the stage. Once they realized it half the people were outside taking pictures, but they announced it and he went up there and got it to a big applause. The kid and his parents were cool about it.

In 2012 I worked with a guy that hadn't called in sick since 1981. In 2012 he got laid off... no party just a kick in his arse on his way out..

Did he have a life outside of school? Like sports, family vacations or funerals to attend...etc?
I've always wondered how this can happen in a single school year, much less K-12.

Guy I work with did the same. Even shite on himself at school his senior year. Got his grandmother to bring him some clothes so he could change and wouldn't miss a day
