I just saw a snippet of it on Inside Edition.
I’ve never even heard of this person. Why is he so important?

I remember hearing those same rumors. I knew he was lying or atleast exaggerating the story, but I still thought he was still a victim especially if he received broken ribs from someone.

I would not, but I’m sort of a “early to bed, early to rise” person.
To each his own.
If any person of any race, gender, sexual orientation, chose to do this, he should not have been assaulted.
IF any person made up a false story, they should be judged by the content of their character and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law in the same manner as the assailants who perpetrated the alleged assault.
The assailants evidently were able to evade detection by a sophisticated network of security cameras thus far, but maybe they operationalized that aspect into the planned crime. They must be stopped or these assaults will continue.
So are the “big brother” cameras able to be hacked? Could it be an inside job by the camera operators?
If it happened, prosecute the thugs. If not, the agencies who led the investigation should be reimbursed for the time invested on a hoax by law enforcement by the person.

And when the facts come out that "MAGA" had zero to do with this crime and this was likely the typical Chicago doings, I hope police charge this actor (who I knew nothing of). Now, the Talcum X's and Gravys of the world have bought in and this isolated incident (and fake news) has far more attention than the gazillion black on black homicides in Chicago ever will.
