This will seem insensitive, but this just seems like an ad.
Using 96 y/o holocaust survivors to sell your drugs is pretty low.

Why would the people on this board contemplate suicide if diagnosed with AD if they believe in the power of prayer?

While my father was taking care of my advanced-dementia mother, he told me if he ever gets diagnosed he'd rather die. Then he told me where he keeps his 9mm. True story. It was at Thanksgiving years ago. I'm pretty sure I posted it in the annual "Thanksgiving Family Drama" thread that pio posts every year. The question is, would I be able to go through with it, and get away with it.

You clearly don’t understand the power of prayer.

My mother has dementia. It gets worse as the months go by. She is 83 years old. She can remember things from 60 years ago but will ask you the same question ten minutes apart. She has become like a little child. She is very active physically but her brain will not cooperate. I cry nearly everyday.

I have a get-away-with-it plan, it's the could-i-go-through-with-it part that I'm not so sure about.

You don't need to be crying everyday about it. If you are, you also need some help. I don't mean that in a smartass OT way, I mean it sincerely. I know it is tough, and not fair, and depressing, to watch a parent (or any family member die) but when they are in their 80's, that's what people in their 80's do. I sincerely and non-troll suggest you seek some help for yourself as well.

I understand it well. It’s a placebo at best.

That’s very sad. Sorry for that bro. Everybody dies. But the way a person goes out can be brutal for them and loved ones. My father had
It and it was pretty bad. He would go to store and would begin shopping only to think he left
His
List at home so he went back home and made another list but found the first list in his pocket but then could not remember how to get home…

My mother is 52 with Alzheimer's. She can no longer take care of herself. One of the worst diseases imaginable

There was a thread a while back about views you have that are not widely accepted or something like that. I feel euthanasia should be a personal choice for a severe terminal diagnosis. We should be able to choose to go out gently and painlessly if it would prevent all the pain for our families.

I agree with you.

Not sure how I honestly think about that, but I think there has been a growing movement to reconsider end of life care to allow people to die in hospice or at home, rather than keeping them alive artificially to experience prolonged hardship.

It's not a growing movement, it's the norm.

I just can't imagine reliving Mengele over and over. It's like a twilight zone for the damned
