The only person trying to “gotcha” in this exchange was you with your “do you need links to ALL of the articles about CT scans” quip.
I still can FWIW
Its not like you would read them though

all of them? everytime? you have proof of this?

false negatives for antibody tests are up to 50%
false negatives for viral tests are up to 20%
Isn't this a factor of cases like this, where a doctor still concludes that a patient has the virus despite a negative test result?
Seems like a circular argument.

Why would I? There are also articles directly dispute it?
Do you believe posting something that’s up for debate is some sort of proof?

what a slap
You literally admitted your Trump card, the “proof” of CT scans, is up for debate.

Seems like I have as much proof as you do about any of the shite you’ve been spewing. If it’s good enough for you, it’s good enough for me.

It's proof that there are other ways to diagnose COVID. That was my entire point in this thread

CT scans plus other lab tests
neither you nor I know what those other lab tests were so I can't comment on them
Its clearly established that there are other methods to diagnose COVID, you just conveniently choose to ignore that
My entire point in this thread was that viral tests are not the only way to diagnose

On Wednesday, Valentine said she took a rapid antibody test, which came back negative. Antibody tests can help identify recent past infections, not current ones, though even when antibodies are present, the tests can be wrong up to half the time, the Centers for Disease Control noted in May.
The next day, she took a viral test that also came back negative. Issues with samples, testing or timing of tests can all lead to false negatives. It's not clear whether she was tested again. On Saturday, her doctor, Joseph Varon, called and asked Valentine to go in for a CT scan, she said.

Other inaccurate ways? Sweet.

CT scans show “symptoms”, but all labs are negative. Doctor says it’s COVID-19.
Makes sense.

“Clearly established” yet still inaccurate and up for debate.

Your entire point in this thread is “a bunch of Inaccurate tests are good enough”.
Excellent work.

Ah. So you just don't believe anything. Its all a conspiracy.
Cool. Just say that from the beginning and I'll know not to even engage you anymore.

I’m the problem because I take issue with methods that have been shown to be inaccurate and are still having their virility discussed amongst professionals.
Right.

Aren't you basing your entire position in this thread on the covid tests that have shown to be somewhat questionable in accuracy?

then you should commend the doctor in the OP for collecting as much information as he could in order to make the most accurate assessment
instead you call him a liar

Person A questions the Covid-19 diagnosis because of inaccurate testing. Person B accepts the COVID-19 diagnosis despite inaccurate testing.
Yes, both of us are using inaccurate testing to come to a conclusion, we’re just on opposite sides of the argument.

Good lord, surely, by now, they've tested this woman two or three more times. Somebody call her up or find her on Facebook and ask if any of her tests have been positive.
3 or 4 negative swabs would pretty much put this debate to bed.

Doctors misdiagnose illnesses all the time. Are you saying this is impossible with COVID-19.

*sigh
No. I'm not saying that is impossible.
I already stated nothing is 100%. He could be wrong. But I'll give the doctor that looked at all the tests and followed the proper methodology the benefit of the doubt.

Good for you. Your issue is that others don’t fall in line with your beliefs and accept all COVID-19 diagnoses as accurate then?
Seems reasonable.

all? why do you keep trying to argue in absolutes? I'm arguing this specific case.
If you have other cases, lets look at them. Don't try to pigeon hole this as some all or nothing debate.

Why would we look at others when you’ve already admitted that you will accept a diagnosis from a doctor as long as they run through the gambit of tests, despite the results of them? You’re going on good faith from the doctors, which is fine. On the flip side, I’ve already admitted that I don’t trust these diagnoses because of the known inaccuracies.
If I go to the doctor with flu like symptoms, and all the tests are negative, I’m going to question it when the doctor says he thinks I have the flu. In the same situation, you’re going to take his word that you have the flu.
To each his own, but sitting there and acting like you’re right and I’m wrong when there’s no proof either way is quite ignorant.
