A tale of 2 fast food joints--Admins, please keep this in the O-T

Highland & Airline in BR. On 1 side of Highland you have a McDoanald's, on the other side is a Chick-fil-A. I'm guessing they're within 100 yards of each other.
McD's---Possibly the worst fast food experience you can imagine. Employees are unfriendly and don't give a shite, service is total crap, place is dirty. Makes you wonder if any food you eat there has been handled properly. I would think not.
CFA---It's like being in another world even though the two fast food places are real close. Zero complaints. Friendly staff, great service, and the place looks clean & sanitary...I don't eat fast food a lot, and I'd rather McD's food over CFA, but the BR McD's seem like they have all turned into complete cesspools.

Thing that pisses me off about Chick Fil A is that they serve the drinks at the counter. It’s a pain in the arse to bother them when they have a huge line for a refill.

The McDonalds on Lee refuses to answer the drive through on some mornings with no one inside. It's almost impressive how bad the service is.

I prefer to have my food prepared and handled by people who curse loudly, glare menacingly at the customers, and don't care whether I return to the restaurant ever again.
You can't get that at CFA.

Just a hunch but the difference probably has everything to do with who the two restaurants hire.

I am sure the type of employee CFA hires compared to McD's is the reason for the difference in quality of service.

Not “literally.”
Mostly true but I’ve been to some McDonalds that are excellent.
Problem is that McDonald’s cares less about the quality of their franchisees. A good franchisee makes for a good McDonalds.
CFA doesn’t have franchisees. They have owner operators. Much more corporate oversight. Until recently having more than one was forbidden.
