No shite, I thought I’d been teleported to Da Nang during the Tet offensive until about 2am.

Well when it costs $40K to get a shipping container from China this year compared to $3K to get one from China last year that prices are going to be absurd. There was significant increases this year and that is a big reason why there wasn't more boom boom.

Me and a buddy noticed the Mexicans weren’t popping as much this year. They usually go pretty hard.

It's because fireworks were ruled illegal inside all metro city limits due to the fact we haven't gotten any rain since 2012.

That doesn't matter one bit. Again, I present the scene over Los Angeles last night as the only evidence needed. All fireworks are banned there.

All the big firework sellers in Travis, Hays and Williamson counties voluntarily pulled bottle rockets and the like from the shelves this year because of the drought.

Option A: people en masse became smarter.

Option B: disposable income is way down.

Well, yeah. When you have to choose between getting to work and eating or 20 minutes of boom boom, it is an easy choice to make.

I barely heard anything last night. I pretty much slept through it, and my dog weren’t overly alarmed.

I think I just lucked out because the two houses in the next block with their elementary and junior high kids appeared to be out of town.

They have money to burn. New vehicles, travel ball, etc.

Firework shows across parts of Texas were cancelled yesterday due to drought conditions.

20$ got me 10 sparklers, 8 Roman candles and 4 smoke bombs. That’s all the money I felt like wasting and this was about 3 hours before sunset on the 4th. What happened to the buy 1 get 3 free. Fireworks stand guy seems like he can afford to charge more but complain about less profits
