For me, Baton Rouge nostalgia starts and ends with Florida Blvd, particularly Bonanza Steakhouse and Globes Dept. Store.

Liquor stores on Florida Blvd close to the Denham Springs line where you could get purple passion came in a liter with a bonus squirt bottle, Schlitz Malt Liquor, king Cobra, Wild Irish rose, and wine coolers for the ladies. Those were the days!
