At least test drive a Camaro. I had a 2010 Camaro 2SS when they first came out, and I also just bought my kid a 2015 Mustang GT. a few months back. While the GT has the edge in horsepower, the Camaro just felt a lot more powerful to me. The Camaro was a manual, while his GT is an auto. The manual is much more fun to drive. The GT is a fine little car, but I'd go Camaro if I were buying for myself.

I wonder what it would cost on the Ford A plan for employee's F&F discount.

For recreation you might want to consider a classic car (yes I watched a lot of Barret Jackson last week). You could get something pretty nice for 30k and fun to drive.

but spend a fortune to keep it running and looking nice that he could be putting towards upgrades to a new one

It all depends how deep a dealer wants to go into their holdback. If you can find a dealer willing to give it all you can beat all the x, a plan prices.

I bought a 2015 in Oct. 2014. Best I could do was xplan though because they were new to market and in short supply. I have done better than x and a plan buying trucks that were plentiful.

I have a '15 GT. Been having it since Nov 14'. Very fun car to drive. Don't regret purchasing it one bit.

Also, if you plan on going F/I (forced-induction) the 5.0 with its much better breathing/higher revving DOHC setup and forged rods can't be beat. Many people with over 700+whp (800+bhp) on 93 octane with the stock block still going strong. Even some with over 900 on E85.

It's whatever you're into. I enjoy being able to work on my own car. Plus, I prefer old steel to new plastic.

I would rather have the challenger. But buy what you want. Screw the haters.

i have a bunch of friends that race in "Mexico" with 5.0's. You can put the 2.9l kenne bell blower on it and push 12 pounds of boost with the only supporting mods being injectors and oil pump gears.

She's a champ. In remission and just completed stem cell transplant last week. Already back home and begged me to pick up my daughter from school today.

Look closer then. It's been packeged as a judge. Took a GTO and made it a "tribute" by decking it out in a judge package.

Still awesome. Especially for 35k.

You can track the hell out of a Miata for cheap and they don't break.
