One plus is all the family members pretty much know each other. And Livingston Parish was way ahead of any collegiate studies....

Can you guess the 20 states where the ban does not exist without using Google?
I've looked it up before and was kind of surprised. I don't remember all of them, but California, New York, and Massachusetts let you get your cousin fricking ON.
Start naming liberal states. They're kind of scattered geographically, but if you name the usual suspects, you're going to get most of them. Then, start at the Atlantic Ocean and start adding the entire Deep South up until you reach Mississippi. Mississippi and states West suggest you keep your dick out of your cousin.

Arkansas and Louisiana do not allow cousins to marry.

Well they can have their research. You don't have to have a physical birth defect that you can see to show that marrying close relatives can screw you up. That should been shown in monarchy in Britain, they have records shown they kept it in the family, due to not wanting to taint their royal blood. They might not have had any known " birth defects"( pretty sure they killed off the ones that did) but most of them were insane, and gone mad.

1. So doubled chances.
Seems like the ban is good idea.
Variable is whether one of the couples parents are 3rd cousins or 9th.
2. Saw Ashkenazi Jew data.
Most at least 5th cousins, lots are 4th, 3rd.
Modern DNA testing helps this DNA group avoid Tay Sachs and now, cancer.

Where’s that guy that found out he was dating his 3rd cousin? Validated.

No study will prove marrying your first cousin is acceptable or not even as bad as it seems. This one just says go ahead and frick ‘em.

My aunt actually divorced her husband and married her first cousin about 4 years ago. They were best friends growing up. They took a cruise to Mexico and got married there. I found it odd because she is the most educated member of the family and is very very wealthy because of it. It was pretty hard on the family to come to grips with - especially my grandma and dad who is very close with her - but I think people are over it now. They are happy and living in a mansion on a mountain near San Diego, but it is still very weird. They are both over 50 and not planning on having kids, so I guess that is good..??

Family Reunions must be awkward

Before the automobile your dating pool was pretty much limited to easy walking or horseback distance. Since there weren't a lot of newcomers moving into small farming communities it wouldn't take too many generations until everyone you knew was your cousin. This has never stopped people from fricking.

I have a creepy adult cousin who used to get liquored up at family reunions and holidays and start hitting on my sister and me.
I haven't spoken to him in years, mainly because of that, but I'm sure that he'd find comfort in this study.

Who knew you Arkansas and Alabama residents were on the cutting edge of Incest.
After all, it's a game the whole family can play along.
