If you aren't familiar with the trial of Lindsay Clancy, she is currently on trial for killing her 3 children. Neither her or her defense team deny that she did it, but they are trying to argue that she isn't criminally responsible because of postpartum depression.

Basically she got her husband to leave the house on an errand so she would have time to take her 3 kids to the basement and strangle them one by one with workout equipment. Kind of hard to argue insanity/mental illness with that level of planning, but not really the point of this post necessarily.

Apparently Lindsay has become a martyr of some sorts for women online now... search the case on social media and you'll find hundreds of videos of women claiming anything from she didn't do it, she did it but isn't responsible, she did it but shouldn't be in jail (but the husband and her doctors SHOULD be), the husband did it, the husband moved on too soon because he remarried so hes suspicious, etc etc etc.

Then go check out any video of babies with disabilities and you'll find dozens of women that feel the need to advocate for abortion based on a disability (essentially eugenics for wine moms). I saw one this morning about some young parents who chose life despite the possibility of down syndrome... the top comment was "There is no shame in the other option, its not for everyone". Actually, the other option is beyond shameful.

And then theres the whole "would you rather be lost in the woods with a bear or a man" thing that has gone viral online. Just absurdity. Would you rather your kids be around a bear, or a woman with postpartum depression and some workout equipment? I think the bear would stop at one kid.

And based on voting trends a majority of younger women think exactly in the way I'm describing. If an entire sex is drastically heading toward moral bankruptcy, we don't have a bright future as a species.

Go hit some rangers or something.

Millenial and Gen Z women are zombies; they’re empty vessels that can’t think or feel, and they want instant gratification. They’re slaves to their insecurities. They’d rather live inside of their fake and plastic world of TikTok and Instagram than actually develop meaningful, non-superficial relationships with other people.

He's out of line but he's right.

And there won't be babes to post on the OT if they all have septum piercings

I grew up a town over from where this happened. The husband is actually from my town, a few years younger than I am. Area still has enough small town vibes where “everyone knows everyone” including the families, the first responders involved, etc.

I was visiting a few weeks ago and obviously, this is the topic of conversation across the board. I did not encounter one real person that has empathy for the wife. She’s very much guilty in the court of public opinion from what I gathered. It’s pretty wild to see this come up on TT and other platforms and the amount of women, young and old, who are immediately absolving the wife from the entire situation. It’s not even a question to them if she committed the crime. It’s pretty sad but also an interesting case study as to how modern women behave and think this way. The easy answer is 4th wave feminism, but the granular reasoning should be in the DSM VII whenever it comes out

Have women had postpartum depression for the history of mankind or is this a modern (industrialized) phenomenon?

Have yall looked at the popularity of true crime podcasts with that demographic?

It’s… troubling.

fricking horrible, apparently she tried to commit suicide after the killings by cutting her wrist and throat, and jumping from the second story balcony only to paralyze herself from the waist down.

There are 2 choices for the outcome of the trial. One is she goes to prison where she will not get the mental health help she obviously needs. Two is she goes to a mental health facility where she does get the help she needs.
She does not go free in either outcome.
I would say that a mother who kills her 3 children definitely needs mental health care .
Postpartum depression or psychosis is not a new phenomenon.
Those meds she was on can be dangerous and need to be monitored.
Watching the trial, I get the feeling so far is that she was not a totally compliant patient.
Its a horrible tragedy either way.

I dont care what her mental health is anymore and nobody should. Its over for her. Stop paying so much money for someone that has lost their chance. Shes paralyzed anyways so let her drool and starve herself to death. "Mental health experts" are very expensive with pretty much zero proven efficacy.

The "mental health" people are in such denial about these things. 100 years ago theyd do this as efficiently as possible.

Satan never stops and humanity is all too eager to turn from God. In Christ, we have hope.
