I flew in for my daughter's graduation. Getting through Boise TSA was a total hassle. I have a brace on my elbow and, after I got through the body scanner, the guy made me pull up my sleeve so he could poke and prod at it. Then he tested it to make sure it wouldn't explode.
After that my briefcase still wasn't through the scanner. Two women were taking their time examining each bag. Of course, my briefcase got sent to secondary so some guy could hand inspect it to discover the deadly bag of honey roast peanuts I was carrying.
At New Orleans, for the flight out, I just waltzed right through.
Much prefer the NO way of doing things.

Which of the two do you think is more likely to catch someone trying to get a bomb through security?

Sounds like TSA in Boise is actually performing its statutory function, while the Popeyes workers at MSY couldn’t give a single frick about doing their jobs.

One of the pros of New Orleans was people not giving a shite about their jobs.

One of the cons of New Orleans was people not giving a shite about their jobs.

Depending on the day determined which one applied to you.

This assumes TSA 's function is to catch terrorists rather than a kabuki theatre to make the Karens feel better about flying.
I mean, in all the years TSA has been operating has it ever caught a terrorist? Not that I ever heard.

First red flag was that you still carry a briefcase.

I think I recently read an article that the New Orleans airport was rated very high or first in some surveys?

msy isnt always the same. Ive been there where it was complete shite they took my bag and checked it, took shite out of it all for a very very small degree deodorant. The lady even got pissed she had to check just for that and couldnt eve zip my bag back up so i had to do all that to make it a bit faster.

Another time they were trying to push people through so dont take off shoes and didnt need to take electronics out of bag, just go go go.

In New Orleans I got pulled out of line and patted down in front of everyone because they thought I was carrying something in my groin.
It was all me. I won't wear loose boxers again while flying.
