Friend,
If you are not interwoven within the life of an individual church, why not? The only criteria that should matter is faith, not race or politics or ability to cook. Immerse yourself in the life of the Church, and if it is God’s will, the right woman will come to you.

Nope. But she will likely be in her 20s if she hasn’t been married. So what is the incentive to pick a 35 year old over someone her own age? He needs to bring something to the table.

What do you have in mind other than purely materialism? This is the problem. He doesn't need to bring anything other than loyalty, kindness, and a decent enough income, but we all know that's not the standard people strive for anymore.

Sounds like OP just doesn’t have much to offer. The kind of woman he’s looking for is going to have her pick from plenty of guys. What makes him stand out?

Men have a far lower bar for physical attractiveness. Just don't be fat usually gets you far.
Cook and clean, sure, but
I'd imagine it's more about adhering to gender roles and acknowledging the difference between men/women within relationship roles instead of a strict 1950s style arrangement.

In 2023, he'll need a nice car, dress like he isn't poor (doesn't necessarily need to be rich), and probably have a vibrant social media presence with exotic vacations or axe throwing bar trips with his friends.

And a woman like that will have the pick of the litter, and justifiably so. Why would she settle for someone that isn’t financially secure? She wouldn’t.
