Yeah... investors thinking "we paying him way too much"

We're going to mine the moon and asteroids for lithium in the future.

What a laugh!
If Regan does not take POTUS in 1980, our off planet trajectory means a viable base on the moon by 2000 if not a base on Mars. The difference is it was about humanity as a whole so Ronnie shelved it to gain the moral majority vote. The only reason we are having these discussion now is the corporate takeover of space. 1 asteroid could produce more gold that currently exists in the history of the Earth.
Elon wants private money in space so private money will have the monopoly.
Just has good spin doctors so it makes him look less greedy and self serving. I am telling you, real life Bond Villain in the making.

What's wrong with a private space industry?

1. Why should I believe you
2. I'm surrounded by Bond villains (Bezos, most senators, basically any president/Presidential advisor, Gates, anyone associated with the WEF, anyone in the Canadian Government, ect ect.), why is Elon worse?
3. At least he kind of appreciates the things I like (free speech), whereas the ones mentioned above have basically no redeeming qualities to my moral compass.

What if they lie to get the shareholders to pass the vote. Some of you can't be this obtuse.
Imagine being part owner of a company that agrees to pay someone to increase its valuation, which he does TWENTY FOLD and then complaining that his compensation (5% of the current valuation) is too high.

This is a straight up lie.

Musk, speaking at a right-wing political gathering organised by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni's Brothers of Italy party said: "Climate change alarm is exaggerated in the short term," adding that the environmental movement may have gone too far, causing people to lose faith in the future.
Musk says oil and gas not to be demonized
I can’t find it, but I saw an interview in which Musk was asked if climate change was an imminent existential threat. He responded that the science is inconclusive, so he doesn’t know, but he thinks it would be imprudent to test it.
So...you are wrong when you said that was a lie.

Musk should step away and focus on the space x. Let tesla stock fall to $10 and say frick you shareholders.

I literally included a direct quote from musk where he states unequivocally that, aside from AI, man made climate change was the biggest threat to humanity.
As for the “experiment” language you keep bringing up, musk is talking about gambling on 97% of the scientific community studying climate change being wrong about the need to curtail carbon release.

These are the best/worst case scenarios. Then we have about 3% of scientists that believe in the best case. About 97% that believe in the worst case. This why I call it the dumbest experiment in history ever. Why would you do this?

Not enough Lithium on the moon to medicate the BiPolar women in my life.

We escaped Europe to flee bloodline monarchies, now centuries later we are being lead like sheep to slaughter for a wave of corporate monarchies. I had family that lived in the age of the Robber Barrons and we are fast headed back without the 4th Estate of a varied and free press. In the 1970's there were what 50K to 150K independent sources of news media that was backed by 3 credible sources lest you get sued back to the Stone Age. Now we have what, 5 news sources and they are more about entertainment and click baiting than actually presenting facts.
If space is a monopoly then the USA is headed for a new age of slavery.
