A big F*ck You to Ticketmaster/LIVENATION
bought my 14yo daughter tickets to 21 Pilots next Aug here in Nashville and here are the fees:
$35.00 - price of ticket
$15.60 - CONVENIENCE FEE
$1.45 - TAX
$20.00 - fee to send tickets in mail prior to Christmas
$6.99 - fee to "protect" ticket (enabled by default in the website and i had 2 MINUTES to notice this and unselect it prior to the purchase completing)
Total price for a $35 ticket: $79.04
The scaplers look pretty reasonable by comparison.

Yeah, I tried to get Stapleton ticks in Birmingham at Iron City for 1/1. It literally sold out in seconds. They were on resale sites immediately after for twice the price.
I think Adele tried to cut down on scalping tickets by making them non-transferable somehow with a credit card. I'm not sure how that works.

Illegal in certain circumstances, right here in America.
No shite. Look at hurricanes for example. Hoarding and gouging on Generators and Ice is very frowned upon by society and illegal by LE.

exactly. scalpers dont get around those fricking fees either so they're not exactly making 100% profit on selling at 2x price.

The Ryman canceled orders for those who got more than 4, but it didn't help much

Incredible considering her tickets require credit card/ name/ I'd verification.. Someone should step up and sue ticket master over this shite.

Adele >>> Celine Dion > Whitney > Mariah > Streisand
Celine & Mariah, maybe
Whitney & Streisand? GTFO

You bought 12?? That's funny there is a 4 ticket limit per card, you have to use Id and card to get in. Congrats on being a lying POS

Adele tickets sold out in minutes, and sites like stubhub already have them posted 2x face value. I hope the frickers doing that get herpes.
Good luck to the people trying to sell their tickets. They very clear say that ALL tickets are to be picked up at the venue with original credit card and/or picture I.D. that must match name of person who bought tickets. Anyone buying the scalped tickets will get screwed. Adele's people have done everything to stop scalpers but they can't stop people from putting their tickets for sale online. Also, I think there was a strict limit on how many tickets were purchased, so scalpers couldn't buy big blocks.

i didnt get the insurance or pay the shipping fee.
get this...*AFTER* i had already purchased they told me 'due to fraud ticket printing will not be available until july 2016'
this is a christmas gift.
if i had paid for shipping i would be MAD AS HELL RIGHT NOW.
and of course, you get the 2 minute countdown no matter what page you're on so its easy to miss some of the fricking fees.
"MAKING MONEY" jews invented the phrase

There is no transfer or resale. Adele's people should go see on these sites what seats are being sold and have those transactions purged it and the cards/ names/ accounts tied to them banned.

So, what you're saying is that ADELE is the one that's trying to artificially manipulate prices by attempting to put measures in place to introduce a price ceiling instead of letting the market decide how much it would like to pay to see her perform?
This thread is full of revelations!

This always happens when an artist tries to limit distribution by making the better tickets "ticketless". It drastically limits the supply on the secondary market but also drastically increases the value of those secondary market tickets.

Yes price gouging is part of a free market, but it's definitely one of the worst parts of it.
It's like you love your wife but she keeps shitting on your couch, then when you complain about it someone asks "why do you hate your wife?"
You don't have to blatantly love everything about free market enterprise just because it's capitalism.
