Family has a camp near the Pendleton Bridge and growing up the A10's would make practice runs on it. 2 flights of 2 would make a few passes then head out.

Yeah I’m beat on this one. It definitely sounded like an A-10 and looked like one when I saw it but that picture is giving me second guesses lol. I have no idea what other type of plane it could have been.

This is the sound of my childhood in growing up on a farm in CenLa. they used to fly over so low and slow that we could often see the pilot waving at us!

A-10.
One of the greatest ground support aircraft ever built without question. Though it is mainly known for its awesome firepower, the engines are often overlooked. The GE TF34, also shared with the now retired US Navy S-3 Viking was one of GE's most rugged and reliable powerplants they produced.
Pilots and maintainers love(d) it.

It was most certainly an A-10. It flew almost directly over me.
