Fair point if that is your position. I am addressing those who claim that there is only a problem in the first place if the parenting is bad.

Whether this dog drug is a good idea is not what I am commenting on.

It'd only be worth it to me if I got to keep anything they found.

I use to think the same thing until recently when my parents joked about how bad I was at hiding my weed stash, as well as how pathetic it was. Their reasoning was I wasn't having any problems in school or socially, and the fact that I wasn't much of a drinker was well known. As long as I was just using a little weed occasionally and not getting housed and driving around town, it was all good.

Fun fact, several times in my life I've found drugs in the dash of a used car. So maybe this kind of service has it's place but there is ZERO chance of me letting one in my house for any reason.

Not true. Many of my friends smoked pot at that age and were A students, had scholarships to college, and became responsible professionals after college.

Personally, I waited til I was in college to smoke pot.

Not saying that's the norm, just countering your claim that no good kids smoke pot.

Thank for posting this. I lost a baggie of Xanax about 5 years ago. I know it's in my house and has driven me nuts since I lost it. I'm hiring this dog.

Makes you wonder if smoking a little dope now and then should really be a big deal.

Of course. I drank a beer with my Dad when I was 12 years old.

It's not a big deal for me anymore. But there were times when I was younger and sold weed. My sister was on pills and coke, and would try to steal my weed our money. A few times I hide stuff way too well. It would've been worth $100 to find my stash quickly, vs hours of tearing apart the house.

If you have a drug sniffing dog up in your house you are NOT in any way shape or form an effective parent. You've lost control long ago. Go ahead and try to make yourself feel better though.
