So?

Adam apparently didn’t have to urge to frick a chimpanzee.

I think his point is that a 9 year old doesn’t make the conscious decision that they want to frick girls. I know I sure didn’t. I was attracted to girls even earlier than that, but I never remember sitting down and thinking, yep, I like chicks

I definitely didn't understand sexuality at 9 or 10 or 11. I flirted with girls by giving them Indian burns at that age. I didn't really understand real physical attraction until maybe 13.

I played T-ball with this kid named Benjamin when I was like 4 years old. This kid walked funny and wore his hat funny and he threw funny. I knew something was off.
That's all learned behavior. He is rewarded in some manner for behaving like that. Probably learned it garners him attention.

9 year olds committing suicide because they think they're gay is common?! Hell, 9 year olds committing suicide is common?

I think there's a lot more to this story.

How about nutty liberal parents for $600, Alex?

Maybe they convinced this kid he was gay assuming they were acting "inclusive".

Well sure. But just because you didn’t understand physical attraction doesn’t mean you didn’t have it. I liked seeing my 1st crush with her hair down because I thought she looked prettier like that

I'm not sure where the parents failed worse here: encouraging their 9 year old son to decide his sexual orientation (because there's no way he did that shite by himself) or failing to instill in him the sense that life is precious and a you don't get a do over after death (I seriously doubt he wanted to actually kill himself; he was probably just feeling ashamed)

Right. Just because a little boy has a crush on a girl it doesn't mean he has any real understanding of orientation. The crushes I had at that age were superficial in the extreme. I was like a dog chasing a car. I had no idea what I'd even do with it if I caught it.

I have a few friends that are gay and they have all told me that they knew they were gay at a very young age. I guess we wouldn’t understand it unless we were in their shoes.

I didn't even know what straight vs gay was in the 3rd or 4th grade. Did I know that I liked girls? Maybe I guess but I definitely wasn't at an age where I even understood these things deeply enough to come out straight or gay.

It's sad for the kid. I'm almost positive he had shitty parents.

Sure I did, I used to play house with the twins that lived next door too. However, I never told anyone about it, especially my class mates. I felt like show me yours and I’ll show you mine was breaking the law.

It’s bizzare that kid was advanced enough to feel the desire to discuss sexuality with his peers. I have to think that some adult has explored sexuality with him. Too advanced for a 9 year old.

My kid is 10. He is completely asexual. I doubt he can even fathom “lust” or “sex appeal”.

At least you got this part completely right.

Yes, all children are completely asexual. They don't begin to experience sexual feelings until after pubescence. Those feelings will usually be for the opposite sex. However, they do develop an affinity for the gender of their predetermined orientation.

A boy will develop an affinity for males and a girl will develop the same for females. Again, these are not sexual feelings.

Unfortunately for some boys, their affinity will be for females, such as the little boy in the OP, and their later sexual feelings will be for males. The opposite can happen for some girls.

With our current cumulative understanding, these orientations of developing children are not alterable. Attempts to do can result in extreme damage to, or even the deaths of, children.
