My every-other-Friday off falls on this Friday, which is a company holiday, so we get Wednesday off too. Sure felt good getting the go ahead to leave at 3:00 on Tuesday Was getting pissed when it was 2:45 and hadn’t heard anything yet

Been working that schedule for 7 years.
The week after Christmas is nice this year. Monday and Tuesday are holidays. Take two days of vacation for Wednesday and Thursday. AWS off Friday. Off the following Monday for New Years holiday.

My last 2 jobs have been 9x80 schedule. If your off days fall on strategically awesome days, then it's great. My companies haven't let us move the day off if the scheduled off day is a holiday though.

It's great when I am scheduled to work on a holiday week (like this week). That means the the surrounding weeks are schedule off days, so that's 3 straight short weeks. It's incredible.

Everyone at my plant works 9/80s.

My company let's me make my own hours, so I work 4-10s. I have the best schedule out here.

I used to have the option to do 4-10's, but I sit in an office all day and that's just too long.

I'm in between office and field, so it's not bad. If I were stuck in a cubicle, it would be too long. I actually don't have enough time in the day because I play on TD and YouTube too much.

I'm glad I have a real career and don't have to worry about counting hours or punching a clock.

no shite, a bunch soft whiners up in here, in my line of work holidays aren't recognized at all, we operate 24/7/365 and I've worked quite a few holidays, being not only at work, but a continent or two away from home, no big deal

That's cute. You think I punch a clock and someone watches my time.
