He probably took them after his boss asked for twice that many for his friends and family. It's Louisiana, where being a public servant means taking from the public. They all think they're supposed to take their cut.

80 masks? Are you kidding me? That’s like $8 worth of stolen goods. People, there’s something wrong with this because I can still order 500% markup n95 masks on eBay.
