Gas prices surged to $160.9 a liter Sunday morning — almost $8 a gallon in USD.

The province of B.C. is also in an energy war with neighboring Alberta over the construction of the Kinder Morgan Trans Mountain pipeline, something environmental activists and the B.C. government oppose
So British Columbia is Trans-phobic?

Well that explains the why. Now answer the "how."
one of my best friends moved there because his wife accepted a position with a non profit there
he just started to leave his car doors unlocked so they would stop busting out his windows
when I asked why he didn't move to a better neighborhood he just laughed
beautiful area though, he sends me lots of pics of his weekend hikes

Why and how the hell do people live there?
Chinese. Endless waves of Chinese.
Say what you want about the Mexicans. At least they eventually end. There are more Chinese in a single province than in all of Mexico and Canada combined.

I toured one of those high-rises last year. 2,000 s.f. 10-12th floor. Runs about $2M Canadian. About $1.6M US.
Nice views but damn....where to put my Primo XL was a prime motivation to not buy it...ha...
