Many places are auto 4 hours for callout. Unioned labor is nothing but entitlist gluttony and sucks life out of even the biggest corporations.

Another rip off of tax payers money is that officers running extra duties such as funeral services are not suppose to be getting paid by the city since their pay is coming from the funeral home service. But they are getting paid by both which is illegal.

Just because it averages out to 13 hours a day doesn't mean he actually worked it. The way the DWI grants work are you have to get two DWI's a night. You can do it in the first four hours or the last four. You get paid 12 hours no matter what. So essentially, go 10-8 at 20:00, hook two by midnight, and go home. Paid 12 hours of either the grant pay or OT rate. Depends on how the department funds it.
Also, most of your civil service departments do not allow cash detail pay outs. So the details get paid to the PD, PD issues a check to the employee.
