Up 183 cases in about 12 hours that’s the biggest jump we’ve seen. EBR up to 18 cases.

Great website to track it:

I'm surprised Monroe isn't in the hundreds yet with all the VD and dumb fricks they have up there.

We have no idea how many cases are out there since the symptoms are sometime very mild. Keep an eye on the deaths because that is probably a better indicator. More tests...……...more cases

As testing increases, number of cases will increase.

The faster we test everyone and confirm who has it and who does not have it, the faster all this is over with.

This is just testing catching up to the true number of cases.

Calling most Funroevians “dumb fricks” is actually a compliment to them.

The deaths of a 38-year-old Catahoula Parish resident, a 77-year-old Jefferson Parish resident, a 72-year-old Orleans Parish resident and a 49-year-old Orleans Parish resident were reported Friday. All had underlying medical conditions.

The deaths of a 77-year-old Orleans Parish resident and a 53-year-old Orleans Parish resident were reported Saturday March 21. The deaths of an 83-year-old Orleans Parish resident, a 50-year-old Orleans Parish resident, a 77-year-old Jefferson Parish resident, and a 90-year-old Orleans Parish resident were reported Saturday evening. All 4 besides the 83 year old had underlying health conditions.

All six Lambeth House residents to die in Louisiana’s only known cluster of coronavirus cases have been men who were at least 80 years old.

As we get more and better testing, we will see the numbers jump. This is something we need to expect.

The Federal Government just okayed the first diagnostic test with a sub one hour turn around time. Within a week or two we will be able to do a much better job of identifying positive cases quickly and accurately and isolating those cases more quickly.

From there, the hope is recent treatments can reduce the period of contagiousness, which not only flattens the curve but begins to bring us to the other side of the bell.

We are only one week in and our testing is only just now ramping up.

This is the beginning. But it shouldn’t scare us. This is how we get on the other side.

But what are they considering underlying medical conditions??
High blood pressure?
High cholesterol?
BMI over 17
Had gall bladder removed
On a anxiety meds
Ovarian cysts
I am sure the majority of Americans have “underlying medical conditions “ how we define them is a big question

Mortality rate in LA of 2.6% as of today.

763 positive cases out of 1,294 tests performed and completed = 58.9% of people who think they have it are right. Meaning more than 40% of those tested are negative.

Used a screen cap from a friends Twitter from an hour ago. It was from the LDH Tracker.

EDIT: mistakenly thought the 2,008 Commercial Labs number was the total performed and the 1294 completed by the State Lab was the number completed out of the 2,008.

So actually the infection rate of those tested is less than 1 out of 4. 76+% of those tested are negative so far.

Even better.
